The Bible Predicts...

Then we who are alive and remain will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air, and so we shall always be with the Lord.

I Thessalonians 4:17

The New Heaven and the New Earth

The Bible tells us that the eternal home for the believer is called the "New Jerusalem," and it is part of the New Heaven and the New Earth. We believe that God is going to completely destroy this earth at the end of the Millennium, and create a whole new earth, with the New Jerusalem as its capital city so to speak.

The New Jerusalem is described in detail in the 21st chapter of the book of Revelation in the Bible. Suffice to say it is going to be gorgeous. Brilliant colors, streets of gold, and most importantly the presence of God. I often hear people talk about what they are going to do in heaven, and it always seems like whatever is important to them is what they see themselves doing. Golfers are going to "play the greatest 18 holes" ever. Anglers are going to "fish in the best streams" ever, and so on.

Rarely do people seem to make heaven about God, which is interesting, because that is actually what heaven is all about. Every time a scene is depicted in heaven in the book of Revelation, people are worshipping and glorifying God. In Revelation chapter 21 it says that God is going to "dwell among us." Heaven is about being in the presence of God, and glorifying and worshipping Him, forever and ever.

How do you know that you are going to spend eternity with God in heaven? The Bible says that the way to know, for absolute certain, is by believing in your heart that Jesus is God, that Jesus died for your sins and rose again from the dead, and that He is the only way to salvation. Yes, that last part sounds a bit exclusive, but in the Bible, Jesus Himself said, "I am the way the truth and the life, no one comes to the Father except through Me."  We either believe it or we don't. The Bible is either reliable or it isn't. It makes such outrageous claims that it is either true or it's out to lunch. There really doesn't seem to be much middle ground. To paraphrase C.S. Lewis, the only thing the Bible cannot be is moderately important.

The following prayer is not a magic formula, these are not magic words, but it is a prayer to ask Jesus to come in to your heart. If you sincerely pray this, He will come in and give you the Holy Spirit to dwell inside you. Pray something like this: Dear Jesus, I believe that you died on the cross for my sins, and I believe that you rose again. I believe that you are God, and I believe that you are the only way to heaven. I ask you to come into my heart and be my Savior, and the Lord of my life. I pray in your name, AMEN.

If you just prayed that prayer, congratulations, the Bible says that you are a new creation in Christ! The best thing you can do is get your hands on a Bible and study it, and find other believers who want to do the same. Oh, and tell someone else about your new found faith, that helps you to grow in Christ as well. We have included some resources that may help you on the journey, and will be adding more in the future.

This was obviously an extremely quick overview of what we feel the Bible predicts for the future. We have only scratched the surface. If this is all new information to you, there is so much about the Rapture of the Church, the Tribulation, the Millennium, etc. that you are not going to understand from just reading this website. One of our goals in all of this is that, if you are "left behind" and living during this time that we have been talking about, and you see these predictions coming true, that you call on God and trust in Him.

And if you are still considering all of this, sincerely pray, in faith, that God will reveal Himself to you. The Bible says that He rewards those that diligently seek Him. And that's a prediction that you can try on for yourself!

God bless you...........
